Top-roping works in pairs. One climbing, one on the ground 'belaying'. It's a great social acitivity and only a few basic elements are needed to climb some fantastic and challenging climbs at The Reach!
We offer a 6-hour course that teaches you how to use the equipment and belay correctly, providing an ideal foundation for unsupervised climbing.
If you are already an experienced climber who can tie in to a harness, belay safely and ‘hold’ a falling climber; then save time by filling out our online registration form and have access to all our roped climbing facilities.
Once registered you will be able to take responsibility for up to 2 guests at any time.
Not having your own equipment isn't a problem. We have everything you will need to enjoy your climbing session.
Most lockers are operated with a £1 coin (which you get back at the end). Keys for the larger lockers are available from reception - we take your car or house key as a deposit. You will be charged for lost keys.
